Here at Boomeranger, we're all about trying new things and pushing the enveloppe to develop the concepts of PR and Marketing. Today, we are looking to acquire both new clients as well as important business contacts. About our Domain | September 28, 2009
Recently, we've been receiving a lot of emails asking about our choice of domain extension. We had registered a .org, which seems an odd choice for a profitable business, since ORG domains are usually registered by non-profit organizations such as charities and local organizations and such).
The simple fact is that our company has existed for many many years, long before we developed a website. Unfortunately, we were unable to procure Boomeranger.com, and as such we opted to maintain the business name rather than try to find a .com.
However, it's worth mentioning that we are very much involved in environmentally-focused causes, and we strive to operate as green as possible, using recycled products whenever possible and working to reduce our waste, We also donate a portion of our income to environmental charities, such as American Forests and PEER.
We also often do profit-free work for non-profit organizations in the environmental sector, especially when it comes to PR and media representation. We have seen a shift towards environmentally-conscious profit in recent years, from laundry detergent to cleaning products to vehicles to the production of recyclable paper instead of plastic, the list goes on and on. Boomeranger has been involved in environmental promotion since 2004, back when environmentalists were a small minority.
